They created a concept, a new treatment niche, and the name stuck: Ulthera or Ultherapy. The principle is based on focused ultrasound. A high-intensity ultrasound focused on a specific trigger point (HIFU – High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound). The shot provides tissue contraction in a non-surgical and non-invasive way.
During the procedure with micro-focused ultrasound devices (Ulthera, Doblo, Accutyte), the microfocused ultrasound delivers thermal clotting points (PCT) in a series of lines at 2 depths: deep dermis, at 3mm depth, and in the muscular layer. – SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) at a depth of 4.5 millimeters.

Interesting: after treatment, the epidermis (skin surface) is not marked, so there are no restrictions on sun exposure and work routine. Recent work suggests that microfocused ultrasound devices (Ulthera, Doblo, Accutyte) are safe for dark and dark skin, unlike most lasers that are safer on fair skin.
